IELTS Academic

The exam format

Candidates are assessed on listening comprehension ( Listening ), reading ( Reading ), writing ( Writing ), and oral expression ( Speaking ). All candidates take the same Listening and  Speaking modules.

The modules are carried out in the following order:

Listening  4 sections, 40 questions (30 minutes)

Academic or General Training Reading: 3 sections, 40 questions (60 minutes)

Speaking  Personal interview with an examiner (14 minutes)

Total time: 2 hours and 45 minutes

Important

The date and time of the exam will be chosen by the candidate according to the availability provided by the center at the time of registration for the exam (Availability can be 1 to 2 days before or after the written exam).

The date and time of the oral or written exam can not be changed except in extraordinary cases such as a medical emergency or bereavement; If you do not show up at the assigned time,  you will not get a result for the exam.

Late arrival on exam day

If a candidate is late on the day of the exam, the candidate will not be admitted and must contact the exam administrator. No refunds are given to candidates who are late for their exams.

Absence on the day of the exam

If a candidate is absent on the day of the test, IELTS Pakistan the candidate will lose the cost of the test and must reapply.
